Thanks for voting us Best Vineyard/Winery in Virginia’s Northern Neck!

Northern Neck Readers Choice award 2019

Thanks to the readers of the Northern Neck News, Northumberland Echo and Westmoreland News for voting us “Best Vineyard/Winery” in the Northern Neck for 2019! It’s an honor to win this Readers’ Choice award, which was voted on by subscribers of the three newspapers.

If you’re not familiar with our area, you may be thinking, “What is the Northern Neck”? The Northern Neck is the northernmost of three peninsulas in Virginia, bordered by the Potomac River to the north, the Rappahannock River to the south and the Chesapeake Bay to the east. (Peninsulas were referred to as “necks” in Colonial times.) Five counties currently make up the Northern Neck: King George, Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond and Westmoreland. Some consider the area to be the “birthplace of the nation” with three of our nation’s first five presidents having been born here. Today the Northern Neck is known for its agriculture, historic sites, abundant seafood, outdoor activities and of course, wineries! (You can learn more in this article on the Northern Neck Tourism website.)
