With lovely ruby color, this wine exhibits hints of cherry and blackberry aromas. Light tannins and moderate acidity work to give the wine a refreshing character and balance. Enjoy with red sauce pastas and other Italian dishes. The grapes were fermented on the skins at approximately 87 degrees F. with the cap punched. The wine was pressed at dryness followed by non-induced malolactic fermentation; then aged in 46% French, 39% American, and 15% Virginia oak barrels. 85% Sangiovese 15% Merlot |
